Weddings at St. Elizabeth’s

Simplicity. Sacredness. Beauty.

Weddings at St. Elizabeth’s are a joyous occasion. According to our Christian faith, in marriage, each individual—both separately and together—transforms and matures in God's presence and image. A wedding, then, is a sacred ritual that acknowledges and celebrates your desire to enter a lifelong relationship. Your marriage is a sacrament—an outward and visible sign of God's grace bringing you together and nurturing your love.

St. Elizabeth’s welcomes and affirms all people made in the image of God and proudly conducts wedding ceremonies for LGBTQIA+ persons in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the canon law of the Episcopal Church, and of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. The clergy of St. Elizabeth’s solemnizes all marriages done on our campus; however we welcome the participation of guest clergy from other denominations.

Weddings may be held anytime throughout the year except during Lent and Holy Week, the first week of Easter, the final week of Advent, and first week of Christmas, and on any major secular holiday weekend. Weddings are scheduled at least six months ahead, and premarital counseling is required of all couples. Since marriage is a sacrament, we ask that at least one member of the couple be a baptized Christian of any Christian denomination.

We have two wonderful venues for weddings: First, the historic Cram Chapel which seats no more than 40; and second, our nave in the main church which seats comfortably around 140. A parish hall is available for small receptions.
